Did I find astrology or did astrology find me?

To help you get to know more about me, here are some of the signs from my life that led me to my true calling which is to share my passion for astrology. Coincidence? I think not! These cosmic clues show a destined path towards astrology that was always written in the stars - even when I didn't know myself!

Astrologer Priya at Born on the Cusp

Named by the stars

According to a Vedic birth chart tradition most Indian children are subjected to when they are born, the stars (via a Hindu astrologer) guided my parents to choose a name beginning with 'P'—hence, Priya. Shame the universe didn't intervene in their choice of that haircut they gave me!

Wherefore art thou Romeo?

My initial interest in astrology started with reading horoscopes and trying to understand if I was compatible with my exes. It was the beginning of a lifelong fascination of mine, with a longer shelf life than the boyfriends.

Eclipse Lettings

The name of my former property business, Eclipse Lettings, hinted at the cosmic significance of eclipses in my life. Turns out the ‘lettings’ part was just a footnote in my story.

Dad's prediction

Caught pretending to be a radio presenter as a kid, my Dad saw my future in recording content long before I did as he decided I had a “voice for radio.” Not in the slightest bit offended I apparently didn’t have a face for TV....

Letter to my future self

A letter written to my future self, predicted I’d someday become a published author about property investment. The stars had a different path in mind where I'd be more interested in writing about astrological 'houses' rather than the bricks and mortar type.

Science astronomy meets spirituality

When science met spirituality

As a self-confessed science ‘geek’ with a passion for astronomy and logic, I've long been fascinated by the marriage of the scientific and spiritual realms — a perfect foundation for my exploration of astrology's mysteries.

Everything happens for a reason tattoo

Tattoo epiphany

A last-minute decision to get a tattoo before turning 30 (or was it a mid-life crisis?!).

I chose to have “Everything happens for a reason, but what is the reason?” inked to sum up my view of life. Then along came astrology to give me the answer to that exact question. Will forever hate that tattoo font though.
